Doug has done a terrific job with replacing our lawn around the pool. He is exceptionally knowledgeable about turf and his advice has been invaluable. Doug and Greg worked really hard to ensure efficient delivery of the job and Doug has been very willing in providing advice and answering questions.

You were always honest and keen to provide advice on the types of plants we needed to achieve our style and the most suitable turf for our young family.

You and your team delivered results above and beyond our expectations in all kinds of weather conditions (almost cyclonic at some stages) and on a site with challenging access. You were also always willing to take on extra small projects even at short notice to “rescue” us.

We cannot speak more highly of Doug and his team and recommend that you speak with Doug when first planning your next garden “project” or at the beginning of any large house renovation.

I can’t thank Doug enough for the professional and courteous manner that he showed in managing and completing a fairly complicated piece of tree clearing and concreting that he carried out at my home. The job entailed removing a large mango tree and several large stumps all of which required stump grinding. He was then required to lay an extension to an existing slab and create concrete pathways around raised vegie gardens. All of this was carried out under adverse weather conditions with a “Can Do” attitude. I can now get around the vegie gardens in my wheelchair. Thanks Doug. You and your team are champions.

Doug of Ship shape was quick to respond to my call for garden assistance and together we planned the strategy required, which was clean out all old plantings from 3 good sized garden beds, kill off weeds etc and further discussion about lawns and garden plantings. I found he had good advice along with a good knowledge of plants and soil conditions etc. He quoted clearly and kept in touch re timelines to suit both of us etc, carried out the first phase of the work with energy and good spirits and I look forward to the second of the three phases of the the job.

Doug did a great job of landscaping the new home we had built, from building a very nice retaining wall, to turfing and planting including contouring and attractive borders, the final result was very good indeed. Doug advised me at every stage what needed to be discussed and his input turned out very well. He also endured a very wet summer but stuck to the plan and finished in good time. In terms of quality,value and service Doug and Shipshape would come highly recommended by me.

Doug’s communication with me prior to, during and after the job has been efficient and clear. Doug is honest, helpful and down to earth in both his approach and persona. He is also very professional. He is acutely aware of value for money and the needs of the client. I have made several recommendations to friends that they should engage Doug for any of their landscaping and paving needs. Part I of our job was large and labour intensive – including wheelbarrowing decorative rocks 50 metres. Part II of our job was smaller – weeding & planting some natives on an embankment and fixing a fence. Regardless of the size of the job or its scope, Doug was realistic with his time, honest with his expectations of time and money.
